Teresa Reitz, LCSW, a Play Therapy Instructor with Creative Kinections Institute, has been practicing psychotherapy for nearly 20 years. She has a specialization in working with Children and Adolescents, as well as with Adults who have experienced trauma. Teresa was trained at the Child and Family Play Therapy Center in Philadelphia and is a Play Therapist and Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy. Teresa has extensive experience in working with issues of Grief and Loss and developed curriculums and trained and supervised staff at JFK’s Haven Hospice Children’s Bereavement Program in Edison NJ. Teresa also has received specialized training in Schema Therapy through the NJ Cognitive Therapy Center and is currently pursuing Advanced level Schema Therapy certification in their Adult and Child & Adolescent track through the International Society of Schema Therapy. Teresa believes that the therapeutic relationship and good clinical knowledge are the most important components to good outcomes in therapy. She loves to find creative ways to make therapy comfortable and feel safe for clients to go deeper in their work and make real change.
